As usual, the president of the Esse 850 International Class, Stephan Züger, closes the year with a letter and greetings to the class. Please take note of his words here.

From 23. – 31. of January 2016, the annual «boot» takes place in Düsseldorf. As usual, «Esseboats» will again be part of the world’s biggest fair in water sports. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in hall 15 at our stand (nr. 21). As some kind of an early Christmas gift, we are glad to herewith announce the exciting event schedule of the Esse 850 IC Cup 2016. You can definitely look forward to crisp racing at six beautiful spots in Switzerland and Italy next year. Remarkably, the fleet of the Esse 850 will for instance also return to the Mediterranean coast for the first time since 2012. All dates and venues can be found here.

Sunday morning was cold and brutally wet, but in return came with a nice breeze of around about 10 knots. One race could be sailed before the wind turned back down again. In the end, the SUI 158, team «Zebrabox» with Paul-Ambroise Sevestre, stayed at the top of the leader board, followed by the SUI 156 with Daniel Schroff in second and the GER 113 with Hans-Peter Martin in third place. Congratulations to the new Swiss Champion, team «Zebrabox», who at the same time claimed the victory in the Esse 850 IC Cup 2015 total ranking!

First of all, thank you all very much for crossing your fingers! Yes, the fleet was out sailing today and yes, the first four races could be completed. The breeze was light, tricky and made for some interesting results, also concerning the total ranking of the Esse 850 IC Cup.
