Leider kamen im Vorfeld für den Saisonabschluss in Thalwil, als Grade II Regatta, nicht genügend Teilnnehmer zusammen. Um das Schlimmste zu vermeiden, hatte sich die Klasse zusammen mit dem organisierenden SVT entschieden die Regatta trotz NUR sieben (7) Esses 850 als Grade III und nur am Samstag durchzuführen.

From September 4th to 8th, the 2019 Esse 850 Swiss Championship was held in Vidy, Lausanne, on Lake Geneva, and this year the « Club de Voile de Vidy » was the organizer of the event.

When the sun is shining, the wind conditions in Brunnen are great. The thermic settles around 12.30, possibly sooner, and blows steadily until 4 or 5 pm at 3bf or more. These were the conditions this week-end for the Grade 2 Uristier.

About The Class

The «Esse 850 International Class» is the official class-unification of the Esse 850 One-Design yachts and was founded in January 2007 at Schloss Rapperswil. Its task is to enable international regattas, stimulate communication among the sailors of the Esse 850 and promote and coordinate all activities in Switzerland and internationally.

In 2010, the Swiss Esse 850 Class was accommodated to «Swiss Sailing» as a Member Class and has been authorized to perform official Swiss Championships. The class association currently counts 50 members who actively participate in regattas.
