For its 3rd consecutive year, the Geneva Cup beat a couple of records. The sunny weather and wind conditions were excellent with a nice Bise throughout the 3 days, with gusts reaching 30 nots on Friday.
Too much for the Esse to race and the boats stayed in the nice Geneva Nautique marina that day. But on Saturday, they sailed 7 beautiful races, one after another, another record. And 4 more on Sunday morning. As usual, the organizing and race committees did an excellent job and all 13 participating boats, coming from as far as Austria and Germany, had a great time, including a few newcomers whom we hope to see again. Alain Marchand on SUI 172 took the win, with Martin Buck on GER 041 and Jerôme Butty on SUI 135 completing the podium. Results can be seen here.
