This years Esse850 Swiss Championship was organized by the Segel-Club Enge in Bächau. A beautiful place, a great organization with nice people, good food and a very competent race comittee. The weather was sunny and warm, but the wind was light and unstable. We could still sail 7 fair runs, while most other regatas in Switzerland had either less or no runs during this week-end.

13 boats participated, including 2 from the Leman lake and one from the Bodensee, all others from the lake of Zurich. SUI 172 Ottocinque Due with Pierre Moerch, Floriane Moerch and Philippe Rey took the win, SUI 178 Solino with Nicolas Fuso and crew was 2nd and SUI 135 Just4fun with Jérôme Butty and crew was 3rd. A big thank you to all the people who made this event so nice with beer and food every evening. Next year's Swiss Championship will be held in Morges from Sept 8 to 11, with a possible training during the 'semaine du soir' in Morges the week before. Looking forward to see you all there.
