Due to an insufficient number of boats registered, the Esse 850 IC Cup grade 2 event in Ascona, originally planned for September 14th - 16th, had to be cancelled. We are sorry for any inconvenience on the part of the host as well as the registered teams. Please find the official statement of the Yacht Club Ascona here.

About The Class

The «Esse 850 International Class» is the official class-unification of the Esse 850 One-Design yachts and was founded in January 2007 at Schloss Rapperswil. Its task is to enable international regattas, stimulate communication among the sailors of the Esse 850 and promote and coordinate all activities in Switzerland and internationally.

In 2010, the Swiss Esse 850 Class was accommodated to «Swiss Sailing» as a Member Class and has been authorized to perform official Swiss Championships. The class association currently counts 50 members who actively participate in regattas.
