11 Esse yachts sailed a beautiful Semaine du soir de Pully

We had a nice "Semaine de soir" in Pully (Lake Geneva) with nice weather and wind every evening. 58 boats were participating, including 10 Esse 850 and one Esse 990, which came from Vevey to Rolle, which was a record.

It was the first time this semaine du soir counted as a Grade 3 regatta, but it was probably mainly the nice atmosphere with food, beer and music after the regattas that makes this event such a success.

SAS/SUI 158 Phillippe Gaillard won, Belami/SUI 66 Stéphane Gabella came second and Just4fun/SUI 135 Alec Tavel came third overall in the speedboat class. We hope to see you all there again next year. – Alec Tavel

About The Class

The «Esse 850 International Class» is the official class-unification of the Esse 850 One-Design yachts and was founded in January 2007 at Schloss Rapperswil. Its task is to enable international regattas, stimulate communication among the sailors of the Esse 850 and promote and coordinate all activities in Switzerland and internationally.

In 2010, the Swiss Esse 850 Class was accommodated to «Swiss Sailing» as a Member Class and has been authorized to perform official Swiss Championships. The class association currently counts 50 members who actively participate in regattas.
