In around about one week it’s show time for the last official event of this year’s season of the Gentlemen’s Class. It will be a dignified final of the season for the coming event is nothing less than the Esse 850 Swiss Championship on Lago Maggiore in charming Ascona (SUI). Approximately 20 teams from Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands will not only compete for the Swiss Championship title but also for the final standings in the total ranking of the Esse 850 IC Cup 2016. We’ll keep you up to date about all occurrences on Facebook as well as our website. See you in Ascona!

About The Class

The «Esse 850 International Class» is the official class-unification of the Esse 850 One-Design yachts and was founded in January 2007 at Schloss Rapperswil. Its task is to enable international regattas, stimulate communication among the sailors of the Esse 850 and promote and coordinate all activities in Switzerland and internationally.

In 2010, the Swiss Esse 850 Class was accommodated to «Swiss Sailing» as a Member Class and has been authorized to perform official Swiss Championships. The class association currently counts 50 members who actively participate in regattas.
