Finally, here we are with the report about the German Open 2015. As stated already, the event came to an early end on Saturday due to the amount of races having been sailed. The final ranking was a little slow in coming but is now available as usual on our homepage. Sorry for the delay!

It was an early end that saw the much-cited dominator of the Esse 850 scene at the top of the leader board once again. In an impressive manner, the SUI 072, team «Ottocinque» with Alain Marchand, won the German Open 2015 with four bullets and a 6 points lead over the SUI 125, team «Aspra» with Urs Oldani. The third place went to GER 113, team «Martinesse» with Hans-Peter Martin, who finished 3 out 4 of this season’s events on the podium.

As specified in the official notice of race, there was no more sailing on Sunday due to 6 races having been completed up until Saturday evening. This left the sailors of all 15 teams with a relaxed social event on Saturday night and an unhurried ride home on Sunday. Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all competitors, the committee as well as all helpers of the «Verein Seglerheim am Chiemsee» for a lovely weekend!

By the way: Sadly, because of logistical reasons, it was not possible to have Nicolas Jutzi taking any imagery of the German Open 2015. However, he will be back again at the fifth and final event of the Esse 850 IC Cup, the Swiss Championships in Romanshorn in two weeks.
