The «Ora» came in early and strong today, very strong. In gusts up to 25knts, the fleet of the Esse 850 worked hard at Malcesine this sunny Thursday afternoon to sail three tough but very rewarding races. All races were clearly won by todays outstanding SUI 158, Team «Zebrabox» with Paul-Ambroise Sevestre.

Behind the undisputed leader, battles were close. Although the SUI 072 with Alain Marchand could bring in two 2nd places, they also had to cope with some difficulties in race number 2, coming 9th. This afforded the opportunity for many other teams, such as the GER 144 with Franz Schollmayer (3.) and SUI 156 with Daniel Schroff (4.), to stay close to the top of the leader board.

As far as we know, thanks to great boat handling, there was generally not much damage done today throughout the fleet of the Esse 850. Anyway, all 26 masts survived the wild rides and big waves and all sailors returned with great smiles on their faces. Best preconditions for another day of three races in cracking «Ora» tomorrow, starting at 1pm!
