The race committee had a go at pulling at least one more race through, but today, the breeze was simply not strong enough. In return, the competitors could pack up their gear shortly before 2 pm already and hit the road at a reasonable hour. The final ranking of the Lausanne Cup 2015 thus looks the same as yesterday's provisional standings.

The definitive leader board sees the SUI 072, team «Ottocinque» with Alain Marchand, in first place ahead of the SUI 158, team «Zebrabox» with Polo Sevestre. Team «Ottocinque» again struck impressively at the second event of the Esse 850 International Class Cup 2015 and are very much ready for the highlight of the season on Lake Garda in two months time. Nevertheless, the SUI 158 seems to be getting closer and will surely also be a tough nut to crack at the following events of this season. In 3rd position follow the Germans of GER 113, team «Martinesse» with Hans-Peter Martin, who showed a consistent performance and were never in danger of losing their place on the podium of the Lausanne Cup 2015.

The Cercle de la Voile de Vidy was a fabulous host to the Esse 850 International Class. The race committee did a flawless job on the water and so did all staff ashore. On the whole, the sailors enjoyed a lovely long weekend at Vidy despite two days of very light winds. Now it's time to look forward to the short movie by Nicolas Jutzi who was able to capture some extravagant imagery on Friday.
